Use to believe actual video evidence but now with AI and deep fakes you can forget it. Which leads me to an interesting question. Can AI and or deep fakes be identified from an IT / technical standpoint? Like expert film analisysts that would look at UFO footage and break it apart to see if it was doctored or made up. Is there a tell in the digital code.
On TV, look at how they advertise the instant editing functions on your phone. A photo of a Father on a beach tossing his child into the air about a foot up and catching him can now be modified to look like a 6 foot toss and then pumped out into the Social media arena. They are outwardly advertising the ability to create deceptions and fakes when boiled down. If you were to see this photo for the first time you would have one of two thoughts. It's BS and manipulated, or that Father is an irresponsible parent. Which do you believe since both could be true?
In this video below it does not freeze and show the photo of the toddler at his highest peak in the air like it does advertised on the TV. But you get the idea. Thumbnail shows it
